Weird title but anyway, I got 2 small Picasso clowns yesterday and put them in an acclimation box with some green star polyps. This is to try and groom them to stay away from the euphylia on the other side of the tank. Could this work or am I wasting my time? If it can, how long should I keep them in there? So far they haven't shown any interest but I know they act weird in the early days.

There is also a large weeping willow close by which I hope they'll also go to

It may work - it may not. If you have an anemone they'll eventually go for that. Otherwise they can end up harassing various corals or other inanimate objects.

Tank is SPS dominant with 1 small torch and a large frogspawn so there isn’t much of a selection for them
