Came home at lunch to grab a coral that had been delivered and went to check on the fish in the hospital tank (DT is fallow). Either my Florida Blenny laid eggs without a male present or my clown pair had their first spawn and the belnny took over.

After some observation, the blenny guards but the clown darts in and eats them while blenny is distracted and then the blenny runs the clowns off.

Thoughts?

If the clown is eating them then I do not think there clown eggs. the clowns guard their eggs. once hatched though that is a different story.

They are the right color for clown eggs, clowns will eat their clutches, especially if the clowns are new to spawning.
