Hello everyone, I was wondering why my clown has a white string attached to his body?
I have not fed them yet since I got them yesterday.
Ammonia:1
Nitrite:0
Nitrate:0
PH:8.5
The other clown does not have this at the moment.

Are you by chance feeding it mysis shrimp, brine shrimp or both? Often these foods will give a false sense of internal parasite. If internal parasite, there is generally a resistance to eat and not as active and even a sunken belly.

if it happens to show these signs. I would soak either General Cure or straight metronidazole such as Seachem Metroplex into their food to eradicate any remaining internal parasites while using a binder such as Seachem Focus.
Prazi pro will also work but curbs their appetite and lowers oxygen content.

I couldn't find prazi pro so I just added these two(picture down below) hopefully they work.

Stress coat is a misconception by the name given and does not aid the fish with any conditions or stress. It is an aloe Vera product. It is manufactured for:
  • Making tap water safe and protects fish with dual-action formula
  • Removing chemicals from tap water that are harmful to fish
  • Replacing fish’s protective coat damaged by handling, shipping or fish fighting with healing power of Aloe Vera extract
On the imagitarium, its a herbal remedy mainly for freshwater (not sure why they place a clown on the label) and geared for relief from bacterial and fungal infections in which the clown may not have.
PraziPro or Ruby Rally Pro would be the better choices.

I'll be sure to go to my Saltwater fish store tomorrow. I only got these two because I was in a hurry and my saltwater fish store is 30 minutes away.
