Clown tang ich

I recently bought a clown tank from aquatic technology in Ohio. I also bought a powder brown tang from them, which seems fine. The clown Tang has been flashing and has it on its body. I could have a possible quarantine system for it and I’m wondering if I’m gonna have to move the entire lot of fish which is one Valentini puffer a pair of clowns and then the tangs? Then I’ll have to run the display tank without fish for weeks?

If , yes. Please post pics using white light intensity, no blue to confirm. If ich, you will need to place fish in Quarantine tank and treat with Coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25 for a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored with a Hanna Brand copper test kit- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone. All other fish in with it should also be removed as they have also been exposed to the parasites and placed in quarantine tank.
The display tank will have to be kept fishless (FALLOW) for 6-8 weeks to assure the existing parasites go through their life cycle without a host fish and die off. Inverts and coral can remain in the display (not treatment) tank during fallow period.

I can’t get a good picture due to him swimming around rapidly. He’s been flashing and I’m noticing it on his side fins but nowhere else.

Flashing isn’t a common symptom of ich - more for flukes. If you are seeing ich spots AND the tang is doing a lot of flashing, it may have both ich and flukes. Powder tangs are so succeptable to ich, that it will likely start showing spots in a few days.

Generally, all exposed fish will need to be treated. What kind of tank are they in now?

125 gallon, I have 2 smaller tanks that I will divide my fish into and run copper in both and leave the 125 fallow.
