So I have had a lightning maroon clown for roughly 4 years now. She lost her mate about 6 months ago. I figured I would get another lightning maroon clown to try to fill its place.
So far all the original clown has been chasing it and nipping at it. I know it’s normal for the dominance. It’s not nipping fins, but more the side, but not leaving marks or trying to lip lock. There are times she will just go over and snuggle for a few seconds and then turn to nip again. The new clown is now hunkered down between a rock and the tanks wall.
The new clown is 1/4 smaller than the one I stared with.
How long should I let this go on? It was introduced yesterday morning.
