hi guys
i just got 2 clownfish on saturday from my lfs.
before getting them i cycled my tank (dosed with dr tims ammonia then added fritzzyme 900 and checked parameters regularly) as of rn my ph is 8 ammonia is 0 nitrite is 0 and nitrate is 20.
i drip acclimated them for 2.5 hours before adding them to my tank and everything has been fine since then. i kept the lights off while they were getting adjusted because i didnt want them to be stressed or anything. theyve been eating regularly and swimming around normally and exploring so i decided to turn the lights on today and they started tweaking out?? they started swimming everywhere super fast and breathing kinda rapidly and im not sure if this is normal so i turned the lights back off just so they’re not stressed cause they still just a couple months old. they also started swimming back and forth along the glass. im just curious to know if this is normal or if this is just clownfish being clownfish??? im thinking i should get a different light (the light i have came with the lid that came with the tank and it’s like white leds) idk if it’s too bright for them IDKKK GUYS i feel so bad and this is my first saltwater tank i really don’t wanna mess this up.
should i get a blue light instead cause maybe the one i have is too bright????
side note: clownfish really are like little puppies they’re so cute and social and it’s so interesting how both of them have different personalities
