I was feeding some Mysis shrimp yesterday, and I saw my Bangaii cardinal and a clownfish really slam into each other going after dinner!

Is that the nasty side of clownfish coming out?

Food fight!!

Fish can get downright nasty at feeding time and I don't feel it's intentional, it's just that they are hungry and anything they see that is food they are going to grab, much like the Seagulls in Finding Nemo they have the "Mine, Mine, Mine" approach. I have a Female Lyretail Anthias that actually bit my Coral Beauty on the lip while trying to go for a little bit of reef frenzy. It was trying to get the food but missed and the CB's lip got in the way. The result was the Coral Beauty doing a Homer Simpson "Why You Little. . . ." chase of my Anthias for the accidental nip.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
