I have 2 clownfish alone in a 20 gallon. Right now, it's just a FOWLR setup but I'm hoping to get some macroalgae soon. I've had the clowns for a little over 3 weeks now. They are extremely active and I'm wondering if this is normal as I thought clownfish usually pick a territory and hover around that area. Mine are constantly on the move. They swim fast all around the tank. At first I thought it was just new environment stress but it has almost been a month since I got them. They are eating fine. I've been monitoring my parameters as I thought maybe something was off and stressing them but those look good. Water temperature stays at 78 degrees.
Is this something I should be worried about or just clownfish behavior?
