Not sure what happened, my parameters seem to be okay? Fish was fine last night and this morning found him dead. Did notice some large cloudy white spots on him, not like ich. Only notice in behavior was that the fish was spending more time at the top of tank, but would got back to his normal spot. (should have taken a pic) Is it possible I got some contaminent in the tank. Please advise?

Idk what to tell you then. It was just his time then my dude. Sorry for the lost. Find a replacement and move on. Good luck.

He added a fish recently, he had a clownfish, which I don’t know how long he has had, but can live 30+ years, which shortly after developed “large cloudy white spots” and died

I’m gonna go out on a limb, and say there’s a bit more going on, than “it was its time”

Without a picture it’s hard to say what he died from. Sometimes it is what it is. If a fish is still eatting then just die the next day then it could be many many reason. A sick fish rarely eat. By me saying it was his time didn’t mean he died of old age.
