So, woke up this morning and the male clownfish is struggling and being chased by a nassarius snail. Has since gone to the back of the tank out of my reach. The female of the pair is quite happy still swimming around. Should I get another clownfish to keep her company, or a few clownfish? The issue I have is mine are percula and the Lfs only sell oceris ones, will they get on? Or should I not get more until I she dies and get another mated pair?

Thanks.

Just wait to see how the male recovers, he might still pull through! Clownfish can 'be alone' don't feel and urgency to get another one. Best not to mix types. I'm not a clown expert (that sounds funny) but I've never seen mixed pairs so have to assume its a big no no

I had a Clarkii pair and hybrid Occeleris pair. The Clarkiis took the anemones and the hybrids didn't know an anemone from crabgrass. It presented no problems but I took out the hybrids because they looked out of place hovering in their chosen corner. Pretty fish, they are probably more cute in a smallish tank with a mermaid pumping air from a scallop shell and rubber anemone.

LOL, I have tank bred ocellaris who don't look very natural. I think multiple sets of pairs of different species is ok, I don't think you can have 1 of 1 type and 1 of the other.
