Hi Reefers!

Just purchased this clownfish from my LFS. The fish store owner said this is a Mocha Clownfish but as I'm researching the mocha clownfish look different than the one I purchased.

Can anyone identify what type of clownfish?

Later, I want to purchase a smaller version to pair the two together.

Thank you!

Yeah, that's a maroon.

100% Maroon clown. nice thing is they naturally take to BTA's as a host anemone so you've got it easy
they can get big and a little aggressive but they're amazing fish

They're completely bonded now... I think. My larger Marroon still shows a bit of aggression time to time. She likes to show my smaller Marroon whose boss. The smaller still does his shaking fits when this happens but they swim together and hang out.

Congrats, they aren't the easiest to pair. I believe the shaking is him showing submissiveness. If they are sharing a anemone I would say your well on your way.
