My clown has been nibbling at the ends of my rbta and attempting to get into it but always swims out as if shocked. Could my rbta be declining my clownfish invite for a friend ship?

Update : RBTA and clownfish have finnally worked their issues out i couldnt be more excited to see my clown and anem pair

Glad it worked out. My understanding is that there is an "acclimation" of sorts in which the clownfish adapts to the anemone.
