Hey all, both of my clowns have what I'm pretty sure is the ovipositor sticking down however the females looks more like a little nub and not out very far and the males has more of a point and down more but not much more.... been like this for 4 days, any ideas on what's going on?

Normally they spawn 2-3 days later. Is it possible this is their first time? Or they laid eggs somewhere but ate them right away? The sure sign is if they are actively cleaning a spot. It will be there main focus and they won’t leave that area.

I almost positive they have never laid and this is the first time I've seen them like this but the male will peck at some rock in a cave here and there but religiously.

Awesome! Will this be your first clutch ever? Are you using a tub with central sump or do the 10 gallon greenwater/rotifer method??
