Clownfish potentially missing scales/ has spots

Anybody know what these spots/missing scales are about? I’ve had this and another clown for 2 weeks. (That don’t fight from what I see.) I check water levels every day (I am new to this and paranoid). He’s acting normal now but when this started about 3 days ago he was less energetic but did fine shortly after a water change and returned to his normal energetic self. He has a great appetite. If this is a disease- I’ve already started a 5gallon QT tank 3 days ago with live sand, rock & added good bacteria every day in hopes to be able to add him if I need to separate him from the other clown. Should I quarantine him and does anyone know if this is a disease/what to treat with?

Looks like both a skin reaction and possibly bite marks from another clown or tank mate

It does look like it could be bite marks. Clownfish are very sly - they often won't when you are in the room watching them.

Thanks for your input! I’m going to add some more hiding spaces for him as I’ve noticed he’s been in a little cove more often away from the other clown.

Isolation of aggressor will be your option

A tank divider would isolate both fish, with the hope that they could be reintroduced in the future.
