I have two Oscellaris Clowns. A female about 1.5" long and a male about 1". They have been together for about 9 months and host in a healthy bubbletip that they've had for 9 months.

Today I saw the female cleaning the rock with her mouth under the anemone. I've heard this is often a pre spawning behavior.

If so,

I'd love recommendations on what to watch for and or do if they lay eggs.

I am not set up to put the eggs in another tank right now, but perhaps if they start spawning regularly I will invest in a tank to raise the young.

Any advice appreciated.

Tank mates are:

Blue Hippo Tang
Diamond Goby
Firefish goby
hermit crabs
Skunk cleaner shrimp
Astria snails

Assorted LPS

Thanks!

Mine usually lay eggs within one hour of lights off every 7-9 days. Cleaning behavior could be signs pre spawning. After the female lays eggs. The next day I feed extra Mysis/brine shrimp for extra protein.
