Story time:

A couple weeks ago I was flying some zoas down. My clownfish decided to take a bite of the gel superglue ‍gel. I read online that their slime coat will help get rid of it after a couple days. Fast forward to a week later, and it was still on her mouth… I didn't want my favorite clown to die of starvation, and I could tell the glue was bothering her by the way she was trying to “shake it off” of her mouth. So I took matters into my own hands and caught her at night, placed her in a Tupperware with some tank water and tried to extract the glue with tweezers. And to my surprise it actually worked! The problem was that she swallowed a good portion of it while it was still malleable, and it hardened farther down in her mouth. Glad to say that now 3 weeks from the date of the “surgery” she is happier than ever. Here are some pics of what I extracted. It looks small but keep in mind this is a 1.5 in clown. Size is relative!!
