Hi all,
New member here and new reefer. I've had freshwater tanks on and on for the past couple of decades but am new to the marine world. I started a 25 gallon nano tank in mid February this year. About a month later after completing my nitrogen cycle I added a pair of ORA percula clowns drop shipped from their facility. Some trochus snails, brittle stars, LPS and encrusting corals were added a couple of weeks ago.
The pair of clowns have been doing great, very active, eating well, and showing courtship behavior. Last night, I noticed a white spot on the side of the female clown. I have never dealt with flukes before but that was my initial thought. I was also thinking it could be some kind of scale damage. The pair are very actively cleaning rocks, spiraling around together, and showing other signs of courtship so I was wondering if some damage could have happened during all this frisky hoopla. This whitish spot will kind of jiggle as she moves. Photo and video attached. Maybe once a week or so I will also notice her getting some streaky whitish feces. I would hate to rush and do a freshwater dip and unnecessarily stress her but I don't want this to go without some opinions from folks more experienced than me.
I appreciate the help!
Tom
