Everybody has a different opinion on what coral looks best in their mind. Corals can get pricey however the fancier you go, over time the price tends to drop as new specimens/morphs enter the hobby and steal all the attention. What is your dream coral that you would love to own one day? Or if you already have it please post a picture! For me I want to own a true weeping willow. I've had a few long polyps that were labeled as Weeping Willow but they never fully reached what I was looking for.

I'm a big fan of the really fancy trachy/lobo/scoly type of corals. Something like this:

However, I've never had great luck with them, and they don't spread and grow the way that other corals like acans, favia, acros and zoas do... so for me, I just can't really justify the cost the way I can with other corals. And they don't tend to do great in the high light, high flow tanks I tend to run.

But if I could justify it, I'd love to have a lower-maintenance tank one day just full of corals like that.

for me I would love to find a true yellow acan, I used to have one about a year and half back but it unfortunately got torn up by a camelback which was mistaken as peppermint shrimp
I have a purple and yellow acan that's one of my favorites but it's not a true yellow. I hope you are able to get another one in the future.

Thanks I’ve been hunting for them at my lfs where I originally got mine but they all orange out eventually, I would love to see a pic of your acans if you have any 👀

I'm just a softy guy, so my dream coral is a show sized piece neon green sinularia.
I've had a few pretty large ones in the past and IMO they can be impressive.

I will always have a soft spot for “rainbow chalices” but something Im hoping to pick up eventually is a nice Trachyphyllia. Every time I see one fat and happy in someone’s tank Im surprised by how colorful they can be.

Mine aren't anything special (I only have 3 and 1 is coming back from a single polyp so I did not bother taking a photo) but here is the one I mentioned. One day I really want to have a nice rainbow specimen.

I have a normal green sinularia in my tank that's as thick as my forearm (it was one of my original corals in my first tank) it's polyps are short though as it has grown in a high flow environment so it looks like a thick stalk of broccoli.

very beautiful pattern on those, TSA sugar rush are some really nice rainbow acans in person they're very bright

My "dream coral" is really a dream event! I really want to witness acropora spawning in the new R2R HQ tank one day!

to me, nothing beats yellow torches. Bananas and tigers and sungods. The unique color is not found in other corals, and then factor in the size and movement…instant showpiece

Asd HG for me, and I have it. None of the other HGs I've seen have the same brightness as this one. My phone doesn't do it justice. This and a real deal Aussie Gold are the pinnacle of torches for me.
