Clownfish

I'm looking at getting a couple of clowns.

I'm looking at either

• Percula Clown Fish
• Maroon Clown Fish
• Ocellaris Clown Fish

All are a similar price so am looking for pros and cons and any general comments on these options.

Ease to keep, size, demeanour anything to help me decide which way to go.

Maroons are by far the most aggressive clowns I have sold. Ocellaris and perculas are pretty similar. Perculas tend to be a brighter orange and they have thick black lines dividing the white and orange coloration. The pros are really subjective because it more or less comes down to looks for these guys.

Agreed, maroons can be very aggressive. A breeding pr can claim over 50g of tankspace, keeping all others away.

Occellaris and perculas are sister species, so care is essentially identical.
