Clownish swims a lot?

Is it a problem for a clownfish to swim a lot? I noticed my clown swimming a lot after I found her in my filter after she started there over night by accident. Just curious as I've never seen either of them swim so much or so fast constantly

Do they have any rock to hid behind or in? Might be startled and frightened still. Or extremely happy to be alive

I’d guess the clownfish is fine, just a little startled from being trapped in the filter, it’s happened to my 12 year old clown in the past

Yeah. There's quite a few rocks they can hide behind and 1 she could hide in that's not taken over by another fish. So possibly could be happy to be alive? But even at night she seemed to swim a lot when she should be sleeping.

She might be stressed out maybe. If she keeps it up, something might be wrong.

I'd say keep watch and as long as they swim and are eating should be alright but I'm no vet lol

If she is straight up zipping across your tank nonstop something might be wrong. You could take her out and treat her with medication or a freshwater dip. Take her out after 2 hours of lights out. Very easy to catch.

If hes new this is normal it will eventually find an area and relax at night mines use to like sleep swim on the back glass at first when they got settled in and now they took over a zoa colony

If it just happen give it a day or two and see if she will eat (most likely take a day or two imo)

Google! If she's eating then she should be fine regardless.

Probably never so happy to be back in the tank but on serious note, all mine are up down and all around tank. Generally, very active fish.
