Day ago received my pair of black ice clowns, for whatever reason they seem to want to stay near the surface in a 125 gallon with only them and a few snails + urchin. Is this normal? The clowns are pre-quarantined prior to my receiving and are very healthy, eating, etc just want to stay by the surface for whatever reason.

Yeah they swap between the overflow box and the return
Mine spend the evenings/night all clustered around one of my return outlets. I think they’re found a low flow spot where they don’t have to exert themselves very much. I’m not sure what you have for corals (or anemones), but once they start exploring some more they usually find a new haunt (at least during the day).
