I purchased two clown fish Picasso tank raised, from saltwateraquarium.com. They’ve been in the tank for roughly a month. Neither one has ventured down to the bottom of the tank or explored any of the rock structure. They continue to hang out near the surface only going down halfway into the tank while feeding. Can anybody explain to me why that is, or if they’ll ever venture down into the rockscape?

Tank raised explains it all. They were raised without anything in the tank. Their safe spot is the glass. Usually the corner.

It’s just strange. I’ve had many clown fish in the past, but maybe you’re right it’s because they’re tank raised. It was 20+ years ago that I had the other clowns. I don’t think they were raising them like they are now.

The little guy swims extremely close to my orbit gyer. I keep thinking some, and I’ll wake up and he’ll be stuck to it!
Nah he is hosting it. Clowns host anything. I have a tomato clown who hosts bubbles from my air stone 😂
