Here is another zoa with the crop method from a larger pic. Only this time I took it to the edit shop and fiddled with the contrast and exposure.

A quick tip for iPhones… If you take a picture the flash off, then take the picture with the flash on… And then take another picture with the flash off again. You'll see a dramatic difference. Seems that no flash/flash Scenario, recessed the white balance. I've seen drastic difference in the before and after photo.

Similar procedure as yours :) I stick to top down pics and try to move or change the lighting to get better results.

are the under halides or LEDs? I have issues taking pictures with my nexus 5 because of the narrow spectrum LEDs have.

I guess I use a similar technique, I have a pocket knife with a magnifying glass and I'll stick that next to the iPhone and glass and shoot pics, alternatively my wife bought a cheapie magnifying glass that has a "loupe" part and I used that recently for shots of recently purchased Zoa's here are the pics:

I have t5 and blue LEDs, I also have my phone rooted with jishnu camera mod from XDA.

I've used the clip on macro lens and threw them away, it was a pain to get a decent pic

Does it support Kit Kat 4.4.4 or should I just wait for the release of 4.5/5.0 and hope they fix the camera?

I'm on 4.4.3 now and the camera updates are of less quality, gonna update to 4.4.4 today actually but don't know if the mod is compatible above 4.4.2

I have a few. I use mainly my cell phone as I save for the camera lense I want for my Canon rebel. All you need are a few simple things. I use a 24$ clip on macro lense I got off Amazon. It works with the iPhone,Samsung galaxies, also the new HTC etc. I also use these gel filters you can order online usually. They are used to pull out the blue to get more clear pictures. I use mainly Orange both dark and lighter. I usually put all of my zoas on the sand in front of the class angled towards the front glass usually. I clean my glass with a scraper and let them all open back up. Then use the filters with the clip on lense. And just let my cell phone camera auto focus and do the work

Top down shots. Using the "crop to zoom" method. Took photos with my droid in the HD setting and carved outeach frag for zoom effect. No other editing was done
