That looks awesome! Excellent DIY work on that light unit. Looks completely professional.

I used MH+LED on my last tank: was a combo of the Phoenix 14K + 16 Cree Royal Blue LED's. Looked awesome and coloured up corals really nicely.

On my current tank I am using a combo of T5+Cree LED's all fitted into an ATI Sunpower unit.

You will really like this light combo. And so will your corals.

Thank you,it is a DIY but I do work with plastics for a living and have done so for about 15 years.that kind of explains why it looks professional ;)
I know I will be happy with the color once I get it over the tank.I had to take my current led setup down to put the components into this fixture.I am using a borrowed 175 halide now and my corals look like poopoo compared to the LEDs.

Looking nice bro you will love that light... I'm running a 250 with 36 LEDs and it's pure awesome man!!!! Looking forward to the rest of the build..;)

Thanks Troy,I am at a stand still since I'm broke right now and I need to start saving to pay off the tank which should be done at the end of this month.I'm just finishing up the wiring of the light fixture,I'm adding in the potentiometers and that will finish up the light build besides adding two more fans.I'm still up in the air as to what pump to add to the system.I have one mp-10 but am thinking of using a nano wavebox for the main flow and the mp-10 on the back wall at the center bottom to keep detritus in suspension for the wavebox to pick up.or I can buy a new mp-10 Wes and buy a second Wes driver to sync both pumps up for a nice wave.decisions decisions!!!!

All LEDs are officially wired up and working and the potentiometers are wired and working as well :) here is a pic with no optics on.

It actually only weights about 20 lbs.and it is very bright even with a 250w radium.I do plan on using a 150w phoenix 14k to save on power.

Myzislow thanks for compliment
GR808 I had to postpone the tank on my end due to lack of funds.my lab retriever had a litter of 9 puppies and I've had to spend money on puppy formula and other stuff.Felix was nice enough to push my tank back till the end if this month so I could come up with the final payment.so I'll be getting the tank at the end of august.once I sell one more puppy I can pay off the tank :) then I'll get going on my stand final woodwork and start setting it up.

..........UPDATE TIME..........
I talked to Felix from Reef Savvy yesterday and I should be taking delivery of my new custom starphire tank at the end of this upcoming week

.I am very excited to see it in person even though Felix sent me some teaser pics the other day.the tank looked like a diamond,it is so well built.Felix even commented on how he wished he made one like it for the MACNA tank he donated as a raffle prize.he is even making my overflow box out of black glass just because it looks so nice with the black back glass.I was going to drive to Miami to pick up the tank but Felix told me he is coming to Tampa to deliver some other tanks and made me a great deal for the delivery fee that I couldn't pass it up.so I should have the tank in hand by Saturday(probably earlier)since he is going to MACNA.once I get the tank I will post some pics of it.I really need to get working on my stand again so I can get that bad boy up and running ASAP since I have all the equipment except one more flow pump.if anyone has a vortech mp-10 or tunze nano wavebox they are selling please pm me with a price, this is the only piece of equipment I still need.if it is a vortech I would rather it be a WES model so I can sync the pumps for a wave.otherwise I will just get the nano wavebox for the wave and the mp-10 I currently have to blow the bottom of the tank to keep detritus suspended for the wavebox to pick up.pics will come as soon as the tank is in my possession.
