Hey everyone,

I am having an issue with my CO2 scrubber from BRS. After it has been running for 2 weeks now, the only pellets that are changing color are the top .5 inches to 1 inch of pellets. Does anyone know why this might be? (My pellets are from 2 little fish)

Let me know! And if you need anything else, I can share.

Ph ranges from 7.8-8.0 without the windows open

If the windows are open, then 8-8.2

I'd like it to move to 8-8.2 without the windows open.

Cheers,
Jason

Assuming you are using a regular canister. It has 2 holes in the top. One is on the edge and one is in the center. Do you have an inner canister or tube that forces the air to travel to the bottom of the canister and then rise in the center? Here is my air dryer. It works the same way.

Without the tube the air would just go across the top of the media.

Thank you for the reply! There is an inner air canister, but perhaps there is something that I am doing wrong with the airflow in general. I'll take another look and get back with a response. Cheers!

Sounds like the air is channeling through the media. Open the container and check the color of the pellets that you cant see from the outside.
To avoid channeling pack it tighter.

Hey everyone, thank you all for your help. So it did end up being an airflow problem. The outer ring that allows air to flow through had a thin layer of plastic blocking the holes. As such, air didn't flow through the pellets and just skimmed the top. It is all fixed now, and working great! Thanks everyone again!!
