CO2 Scrubber Questions

1. Whats your favorite CO2 scrubber media? Cheapest/effective?
2. I am using a HOB skimmer connected to a CO2 scrubber and would like to mount the scrubber below the tank hidden in the stand. Is there a way to make this possible without risking a reverse siphon?

Regarding the backsiphon, there shouldn't be any water in your co2 scrubber so no back siphon. If you are really worried about it, you would try a check valve for whatever size tuning you are using

The only one that really works for me is this one from amazon, I just ran out and ordered from BRS and it just isn't doing nearly as much.
