Thank you. I can' wait to get it cycled and start stockingEverything looks great!
Looking good boss. What do you attribute the bulkhead problems to, the overflow?
Got my check valve, marinepure block, and skimmer in today. Had to cut the block in half to fit the skimmer.Fed the tank some mysis to get the cycle started. Letting the skimmer run to get it broke in.
All set up and ready to cycle. It has taken 800 watts of heating to keep this tank at 77.5. The tank is in the garage and here in wa state its around 47 degrees.
Finally the overflow is all set up I have never had so much problems with sealing a bulkhead before.
Actually the instructions. They suck they tell you to use both seals on the outside of the bulkhead between the glass and the overflow box. I being a super genius thought that did not make since. So I looked it up on the good ole interwebs and found a video by eshopps on how to install the overflow. In the video they tell you to put a seal between the glass and the overflow box and one inside the external overflow box between the the bulkhead nut and the box. Ofcourse the seal slips on the nut side and it leaks like a sieve. After trying 5 different ways of placing the seal. I finally decided to do what the directions said and ofcourse dry as a bone that way.Looking good boss. What do you attribute the bulkhead problems to, the overflow?
