Wanted to start a thread to follow my journey with these two new tanks. I have been reefing for 15 years and when I built a new office for my practice I added some reef tanks for the patients and for me lol.

300 gallon is mixed reef tank currently has five Kessil a360x lights on it, 1 mp 60. And closed and open loop is run on this tank. In the sump I have the nyos protein skimmer and large refugium with 10 lbs miracle mud.

The Red Sea is a 80gallon system in my personal office. It is barebottom ans will be an SPS dominated tank. It current las two kessil a360x lights, 2 mp40s, Red Sea sump ans skimmer. CaribSea Rick was used on this tank with the brs hybrid method.

nice! lucky you get to have tanks at work....just think we all could...haha now that would be fun.

I often dream of having tank for me...errr I mean my clients.
I’m a pediatric dentist my office is fish themed the kids love it and it’s a great excuse to have a big reef tank to mess with lol

Nice collection of office fish!
Thank you! The fish in the 300 gallon are definitely a collection of some of my favorites I lived in Hawaii for three years while doing my residency and I had to get some of my favorite while diving and living out there.

I just wanted to update the build tread I haven’t posted on here in awhile. Everything is doing good. Been having alittle dusting of algae on the same bed and getting ready to add some aptasia eatting nudi’s to help with some that I got growing but over all not bad for a pediatric dental office reef tank. We do it all no one takes care of it but me. I live in a rural area so not a big reef hobby area but I think it is coming along good. The gigas clam is amazing to watch it grow it started out at one inch.
