@Paul B has Mandy feeders. May want to look at that if you need to supplement. This is good to know. I wanted one i was just under the impression that a larger wrasse will out compete a mandarin for food and that would be a no go from me.
Benghi Cardnial was one of the first fish i looked at in the LFS. just something about it, it's captivating. It lacks the color, but the design of the color it has is amazing.@Paul B has Mandy feeders. May want to look at that if you need to supplement.
My Cb is a model citizen. I have leathers shrooms and a couple of blastomusa corals.
Yellow watchman goby and yellow clown gobies, green clown gobies are amazing fish as well.
My wife would take offensive if I did not mention the benghi cardnial. Unique design and great personality. Mine even out in place yellow tail damsels.
One of my favorite is the cinnamon clown. They are different looking than a standard clown and a great conversation starter when observing a tank.
The radiant wrasse is under difficult as they often dont ship well and suffer a lot of stress easily so dont always make it, but if you find a healthy eating one youll be fine with them.Perfect! That's some good information! I'll look up on some of the less aggressive wrasses and i saved the LiveAquaria pages for the Anthias you mentioned. :) The radiant Wrasse is pretty but for some reason is listed as "Difficult" under care? I don't know why, the care to me looks to be the same. Will eat smaller snails and shrimp. Eat Frozen and flakes. Passive fish. doesn't seem too difficult to me.
Also the
Exquisite Fairy Wrasse is a beautiful fish, do you have any experience with it?
That is a great looking Melarunus !! Sorry for your loss on the coris. 3rd time is the charm!I just got both of these for my reef, it’s take 2 on both since both never made it out of previous QTs. So pretty and colorful.
Sadly the coris already died, super healthy but somehow jumped out of the tank with eggcrate and a light fixture and then was accidentally stepped on by my wife. (alot of screaming on her part)
The Melarunus is stunning though. Can’t wait to add him to the display.

Ah. I have never bought livestock online, well, until this week i bought some polys from Top Shelf. I'm nervous. i can see how it would be stressful on the live stock and would make sense how it would die often. Aside from that, Wrasses seem like they are a pretty hardy fish? The radiant wrasse is under difficult as they often dont ship well and suffer a lot of stress easily so dont always make it, but if you find a healthy eating one youll be fine with them.
No i dont have experience with an exquisite fairy wrasse, but I'd love one, should be perfect for your tank, just make sure you get the regional variant you like as depending on where they come from they can look very different.
Yes wrasses are generally hardy if you avoid the tamarin, leopard and penicl wrasses which are notoriously difficult to keep, with the leopards depending on the species, being just a little easier but still challenging, just make sure you treat for internal parasites as wrasses are often prone to theseThat is a great looking Melarunus !! One of the reasons we enter the marine sector of the hobby is COLOR color and COLOR. Do focus though more than color on. . . compatibility. No sense acquiring a red, blue, green and yellow fish if they are going to be at war and eventually damage one of the inhabitants or even kill them
Marine fish in nature are territorial and in turn causes fighting. They graze all day and now end up in a closed environment and we have to imitate this environment to the best of our abilityThis is why I do not have a lot of fish. I hate fighting!
Personally never kept any bit I'd advise to avoid them as they are mean and agressive, especially if you want a gramma of some sort these 2 groups of fish will fight to the death, the orchid and sankeys Dottybacks are the most peaceful, but if you want them i wouldn't add a gramma aswellWhat are your thoughts on dottybacks?
Those are great clowns! and that's a pretty fish!Starkii damals and Springer damsels are pretty mild mannered and Springer's are great flatworm control.
For none Nemo clowns...pink or orange skunks are different and underappreciated.
Here is a photo of my starkii

Sorry to hear that.Starcki damsels can become quite agressive/chippy when they mature, which ive found out the hard way:(
He's or shes lol not too bad, its just more agressive than i was expecting, however it hasnt killed anything its just not keeping with the peaceful theme i was hoping for in my tankSorry to hear that.
