Colorful vs Monochromatic Tanks

Do you have a preference for one or the other? I would love to setup a predominantly black/white tank and stock it with things like banggai cardinals, b/w chromis, darwin clownfish, a marine betta, and either a group of engineer gobies or a links sleeper goby.
 
I prefer a colorful tank that has a wide variety of corals and fish colors.
