My clowns were a bit spendy at $100 each, 17 years ago. But break it down. Soon it will be $50 a year for them. lol

The other two were so peaceful. ☺️ Miss them. Had them over 10 years

I forgot to mention Chalk basses. First one, first tank was humongous, as big as those basses caught in freshwater😉. Current one is named Yuletide Spartacus. Always a first to be a tank greeter to bring good cheer that makes me smile, Spartacus due to the erect dorsal spines and his way of presenting them like a Mohawk. I know, I got saltwater fish psychosis 🤪

Thanks. 😊 The clowns were tiny when I bought them. The mandarin was my favorite. I think she got stung. She looked strange one night. Never saw her again. She would come right up to me at feeding time. Try to take the food right from the turkey baster. Would eat anything including pellets. I stalk lightly. It works for me. I despise fish fights.

That mandarin I have is pretty neat. Doesn’t care if I white light the tank. Interestingly enough, my screen lid turns into a trampoline not to long after lights out. So wise to not push the limit of stocking. I’m a few time repeat offender to overdoing that, ends up bad creating disruption when the balance was previously managed. No fun coming home to find a favorite fish gone or a new addition was unfortunate to not fully tank acclimate. Keep the oceans full of fish, not your reef. Keeping up with the op’s intention, I have always thought the banjai cardinal would be cool, but was discouraged to find out, when a friend ten years ago opined it’s a boring fish. Idk, right price, I enjoyed seeing a tank full of them on the big island of Hawaii, and to seeing a mouth full of babies its brooding might be sweet.
