@evolved or @eatbreakfast would be the go to's for something like this :) my expertise extends to I had a wrasse once lol. THat's about it.

I'd go with @eatbreakfast from the Pms ive gotten.

But from what i know, my answer would be it depends. How many other fish are in the tank? Broomtails can be mean/territorial and red breasts are prone to being bullied as they are generally considered a timid fish. If it has enough room you maybe ok. If you already have an established "leader" for lack of a better word, that would help, as it may keep the broomtail in check, but for these two specific fish, this is about were my knowledge ends.

This is a bit beyond my experience base, and I can't recall of anyone who'd kept them together, but I tend to think you'd probably be okay.

You would be fine in a 500+ they should be fine all I would say is try to get them the same size

In larger more crowded tanks, they're less likely to fixate. If they're the only two wrasse and have the ability to defend a territory appropriately, it may decrease your odds :)

I don't have experience with either, just an overarching observation in general.

Thanks all for the thought! Have the broomtail already and want the red breast. Will look for similar size. Other wrasse in the tank is a bar of gold bars, dragon, surge and tusk.

I have both in my 300. They are both 8-10 inches and don't kill each other. They are not friends but also avoid each other and keep to their own. You will be fine with a 500 once you acclimate the new one but there is that introduction phase that you have to overcome.
