I circled the area this is in...it small compared to the overall size, but it's more or less in the center of it. Lightning I would think is good...maybe in the location the issue is could get a little less due to the corals folds. Of course I notice this when my night lights come on and it's a little darker in the tank.I assume you are talking about the darker area in the middle? Hard to tell if that is skeleton or not from the picture. How shadowed is that area? Maybe it isn't getting enough light down there so the tissue is moving up the skeleton.
Just did water change yesterday...and I want to say it was already there...but I know maybe a week ago I did notice a build up of detritus and blew it off...I ll adjust power head as well to make sure it's getting hit good enough and monitor it....thanks for advice! That looks like a green cabbage coral. Its a leather with no skeleton. Did you notice this after cleaning or adjusting the water flow. In the creases they can build up detritus which could cause that. Keep the area clean with a turkey baster or adjust power head so area stays clean. Should go away as long as parameters are correct and stable.
