I am thinking of placing my skimmer and UV filter in the garage (no cars ever go in there), on the wall from my tank.

Other than the heat of the garage being an issue in the summer, are there any other drawbacks?

My main reasons are wanting the extra sump space, wanting to keep the area quiet, and an external recirculating skimmer won't be so tempramental if the water level changes 1/1000th of an inch. Also, it would allow me to just run a neck cleaner and have the skimmate go right down the drain.

Thanks!
