Contemplating a change of direction

I just have one more fish to catch from my DT so I can go fallow for ICH. So, two things I've been fascinated with is breeding and lionfish, I will keep my YWG as he's in his own tank now with another YWG as I attempt to pair them.

I had a marine betta who never left QT as he was about to enter the DT when I saw ICH on the Royal Gamma.

I intend to my keep corals and inverts which will be lionfish safe i.e. Porcelain crabs, hermits etc etc but how interesting sre lionfish in the aquarium?

I have 4 lionfish in a 90g reef; I've had over 20 tanks in the last 30 years, and have to say this is my favorite of all time.

I was thinking about keeping my marine betta and getting maybe a antennata and maybe a dwarf zebra. I do prefer fish that don't zip around the tank so that's another bonus for me.

What makes it your favourite tank?

I have an antennata and a zebra, along with a fu manchu and a fuzzy. I don't like super zippy tanks either, my lions are somewhat active though because I do feed them live food and they hunt quite alot. There are times when the tank is calm and everyone's perching somewhere and that is nice, I have a small mimic tank with them that I didn't count on, he was meant to go into a different tank but got the crap beat out of him.

I like the way they swim, I like keeping their predatory nature by feeding them live, it's interesting watching them hunt. They do become very friendly, I could hand feed all of them if I were brave enough, I have to be very careful when I'm doing maintenance in the tank.

The antennata looks like a vulcan war machine from star trek when he pops up from behind a cliff in full display.

Have you had any success with keeping fire shrimp with them? I currently have a very large fire shrimp in my tank so I'm not sure if he would become lunch

Likely lunch, in my tank he wouldn't get 3" from the surface.
