Contraction for a QT tank

This is what I was considering as a filter for my 20 gallon QT tank. Adequate? Any other suggestions?

As far as equipment goes, all I was planning was a filter, a small AC powerhead, a heater and some PVC for the fish to hide in. Am I missing anything? Thanks.

For a QT tank, you can use a sponge bubbling filter or even a hang on back filter. The canister filter would be fine too, it just seems like a lot of filter on a 20 gallon QT, but if you like canister filters, go for it!

I have one but prefer my aquaclear 110 hob. I find it easier to maintain and I can keep a sponge seeded in one if my sumps.

Personally, and this is just me, but I don't care for canister filters. I find them a pain to clean, and I've had some of them leak on me. Like @exnisstech I quite like the Fluval/Hagen AquaClear HOB filters.

Did you already place the order? That's a great filter, I just would suggesting going with the largest you can. An AC110 is not unreasonable on a 20 gallon tank. But the AC30 is a great filter, they all share pretty much the same design.
