Checking out different options and pros cons for placing different components of an apex for setups with filtration in basement, please describe how you setup yours and the reasoning behind it. Also appreciate suggestions on how to setup mine for below considerations:
- DT in living area but cabinet with enough space to house needed components on the sides of the tank.
- basement set up housing sump with 2 connected frag tangs nano cube and possibly another tank soon.
- chillers in basement fed and outputting in sump
- heaters in sump on temp controllers but will be controlled by apex for added safety
-dosing container in basement (will be adding DOS)
-possibly adding Ca reactor in basement at later stage
-will control Vortechs and Tunzes in DT through Apex but no real need to control basement setup flow pumps with Apex .
-All filtration in basement and return pumps in basement with cables from tank going down so can have power bars in both locations.
Thanks for any input.

I have my sump in the basement,
My Apex and all the filtration heaters etc are in the sump area.

My reasoning was ease of setup and use.

the only thing in/at the display is what actually needs to be there
(power bar for the lights etc, The light itself and the flow pumps)

I have much more that needs to be controlled in the sump area
so it made more sense to put the Apex controller there.
