Controlling growth

Ok so some of my sps are growing out of control at the base a overtaking other corals, ? Is there any way to stop the growth from growing and killing the sps. (keep it from spreading) this is a colony that is out of control.

O I have been , but the problem is it's creeping all over the rocks and other coral. I need to stop it from spreading.

IV seen people put rubble and stuff then just pull the rubble off to keep it in check
