Odd question but I might get a convict tang from a fellow reef in my local club. I have two options as to where he could go. First off he is small only 2.5/3 inches. I can put him in the 125 with a 6" yellow tang and a 5" lieutenant tang or a 46 gallon bowfront. Both tanks will be torn down and moved in six months when I move. Will he be ok in the 46 gallon till the tanks are moved and put all the tangs in the 125 at the same time? I was thinking that might help with the whole fighting between them all if the tank was completely changed and all where added at the same time. What should I do? Skip on getting the tang? The 46 gallon? The 125?

i had no luck on tangs except the sailfin in a 55 gallon, my opinion would be the 125, just keep a eye on it to make sure it doesn't get picked on. if there isnt alot of fish in the 46 it might be okays, thats a pretty small tank for a tang. wish you the best of luck.

my clarkii clowns ruled my 55 gallon when i had a fowlr, the female was 3"+ and the male was about 2", nothing went in my tank unless it was approved by them and the 3stripe damsel that i couldn't ever catch.

I'd put them all in the 125, but be warned that convict gangs are known to be pretty aggressive.
