So just wanted to post this cause I think it's pretty awesome! This banded trochus snail has a what looks like to be a clam attached to it as well as some sort of feather duster type thing that pulses in and out, super interesting to look at. PXL_20210502_121440005.MP.jpg

Yeah I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for a good scarlet wrestling match to photograph. The huge blue tip is what always catches my attention, here is a better pic.

A little bit of inception, in your pic it is two things riding on a trochus and in mine it is a trochus and cerith riding on a hermit.
And here is that same hermit on top of an mp40, how it got up there? A leap of faith?

Banded Trochus are my faves! Pretty snails and they always have something interesting on their shells.

And on que, late night feeding time is some serious business.

Haha yea I have to red scarlet's but have yet to see them really even interact with each other

Yea they are a really cool snail I had 3 but one kind of seems like it's going to die not really sure.
Sorry to hear that. They are nocturnal tho so maybe it's just sleepy. Or at least my lone Trochus used to be, now he decided he wants to be an Astrea snail.

Yea it's been a few days when I first got him I flipped him over right side down and it didn't move till the other one went by and hopped on its back and rode around on that one for a day then fell off and stayed in spot for almost 2 days so I moved it yesterday and this morning looks like nothing is in the shell so the hermie's probably got it.
