I know ive probably posted pics of my tanks on her before but figured if I'm going to hang around I might as well start a thread to show progress of my systems. I'm currently running a 150g reef tank with a 55g sump. And a 180 with a 100 sump.
A good reef needs a baby shark lol. Currently on this tank I'm running 2 400w coralvue 20k bulbs 6 hours a day in 2 3 hour cycles and a 250w hqi pheonix 14k for 10-12 hours a day for viewing. 2 koralia 4s and a mag 9 return. For filtration I basically have a sump with a dsb as well as a dsb in the dt and a massive ball of chaeto and about 50# of lr in the sump. Currently I'm using a red sea Berlin skimmer, had very good luck with this skimmer. I feed a blender mush I make out basically whatever fresh seafood is at the market mixed with garlic guard, brine shrimp, phyto and zoo plankton and then krill after its blended. (tip: dont blend octopus the skin with make a giant mess of your blender.)
My 180
I changed out the t5s to my old 250w halides I did the math and figured it would be cheaper and look better than running 16 t5
Thanks for looking. I still needed to skin my stand on the 180 and build my hood for both tanks to hide my ghetto lighting rig
