Ok was thinking. Would it be a good idea to make a safe zone for copepods in the display tank. For example a fish breeder box upside down in the middle of a rock pile. They could come in and out of it. But fish couldn't. Don't know. is it a dumb idea. Would it get used.

Hmmmmmmmm, why are you making a safe zone?
Building population for a specific tank mate that will eat?
They will hide in the rockscape.

Some people use balls of chaeto discreetly placed, I have heard of people using filtered designed floss or foam as well.

You'd be creating a detritus trap along with the pod safe zone

Agreed they do hide in the rockscape. Was just thinking out loud of ways to get more of them. Besides refuge. Yes to feed tank mates

Chaeto in sump works well and usually does not have a problem making it to the DT via return pump.
