Hi all, wondering if anyone here sells copepods or has suggestions as to where to buy! I’m aware of reefnutrition and algae barn, but I would love to support a smaller/local business

I Literally Just put in an order for a variety of things from @Eldredge after reading a lot of good things about the quality of Reef Plantation. I will check in once everything gets here for anyone interested.

J,

We are a family owned small business. We offer a large selection of copepods to target your tanks needs, as well as phytoplankton, macro algae and clean up crew inverts. Give us a look

Just put in a order with you guys last week, on your sale. My first copepod introduction on new tank. Trying to establish before any big algea blow ups. Also picked up one of your CUC packs. Looking forward to recieving them. Ill probably have questions on the need for Phyto dosing to keep em going...

J,

Awesome and Thank you. Your order will most likely ship tomorrow for a Wednesday delivery. Up late last night and early this morning harvesting pods and Phyto fresh for our deliveries. We save CUC for last as we will only harvest what we can ship that day to not add any additional stress.

As for dosing phytoplankton, every tank would greatly benefit from live phyto. Your pods should reproduce better as they are being provided a much more nutritious food source in Phyto, without impacting their utility as a micro Clean Up Crew (CUC) as you would t dose enough to meet all their needs. Phyto will also provide nutrition to corals, inverts and even fish (mostly through gill absorption. Another benefit, if live phyto will consume nitrates, phosphate and silicate to compete against nuisance algae adding another tool in our fight against the ugly stuff.
