I want to culture copepods, I have experience on culturing, rotifers and phytoplankton, so how strong is my oxygen will be? how often should I add phytoplankton in a day? do they need lights too? every when should I hatch those copepods? and lastly can I use coffee filter for hatching them?

This link discusses how to culture a bunch of pod species, but hopefully others will chime in with their advice/experience too:

Pretty much the same process as rotifers just with extended times as they do not reproduce as fast as rotifers

That’s great, slow airflow like blop for 2 secs and I’ll put it into grow light too, and twice a day feed will be fine okay thank you!

Adding question to this thread as we are about to start culturing pods as well. I have the system setup, but worried about them culturing in a cold garage. We are in Los Angeles, so probably won't get colder than 50's but should I try and put small heater in the gallon sized jars I'm culturing in?

Or is temp into the 50's ok? going to light them up 14 hours a day, but not sure about needing heat or not?
