I have an Aiptasia problem and I herd it's best to purchase a Copperband for this very reason, but I also herd they are not reef safe? Is this true?

Agreed completely with this. Decorative worms, such as feather dusters and coco worms will be eaten too.Mostly depends on the fish. Most likely will not let you have clams anymore at the very least. Sps usually fine, zoas fine, most lps fine, softies fine, but acans, blastos, scollies may get eaten. Or may not. Clams though will most definitely be eaten.

I have had my CBB for around 3 years now and he has been a model citizen in my mixed reef. I do not have any clams or decorative feather dusters and coco worms. I did have really bad infestation of the small feather dusters and he made short work of them. I also had I would call colonies of aiptasia and he took care of them also. They still pop up from time to time but eventually he gets around to eating them. If the CBB you end up getting eats frozen food and black worms as well as aiptasia and leaves your corals alone then I would keep him for the simple reason I have, the aiptasia always seem to return.
It may work well for you. But it's impossible to get rid of apt for good. They will return once your control is taken away. They say berghia is the only surefire way but ime berghia have done nothing. I tried them twice. You'll want to keep your copperband not just for apt but because you'll like him. Very cool fish and once it gets used to it you could pretty much catch him by hand lol.The copperband is only temporary for Aiptasia once he is done in returning him to the store!

It will appreciate the lack of competition. Assuming the tank is not new since there's so many aptasia.Yea there are pretty sweet fish! I don't have any fish currently in my tank and it's a 30g cube would he be ok if he is the only fish I have?
Simple advise, do what you will but at least read. Qt the cbb. And all other duties fish.
Cbb are prone to ich and flukes and even looking clean will still most likely be carrying.
Easiest way assuming the tank is parasite free since you have no fish... Tank transfer method, with prazipro on the second and fourth transfer. Then straight to tank. 12 days and done. Plenty of threads on the topic with details of the method in the disease forum. Do that and you'll have a healthy cbb for 20 years.
