Coral Banded Shrimp Molted.....

Hey everyone I found that my coral banded shrimp had molted. I'm not sure what to do with its molt. First time having this shrimp so is it beneficial to leave it in the tank or remove it? Thanks for any help!

I would just remove it. Will probably take a long time to breakdown on its own ... and probably won't have much, if any impact on nutrients (unless your running a very small nano).
More or less boils down to whether you want to see it laying around the tank for several days on end or not.

What to do depends on whether you have Cocktail Sauce handy :p

Remove it. Screws up powerheads when sucked in.

They are cool animals that eventually get kinda big. They will also keep parasites off corals to a degree. They may look formidable when they get big but they are no match for even a watchman goby. However, they will eat other shrimp like cleaners or peppermint.

Nooo- leave it in there !! It will eat it and use it as added calcium and the empty shell fools occupants that it is actual shrimp as its' new shell hardens

I'll leave it in there. Right now it looks to be wedged between the rocks so it's not blowing around but how long does it usually take for the shrimp to use it's molt?
