Coral Crouchers

I have recently bought some spotted coral croucher gobies. I have realized that there isn't much on the fish and was wondering if anyone else has information on this type of fish.

Be careful!!! While adorable, they are not actually “gobies”… they are a member of the scorpionfish family, and do have venomous dorsal spines. So as long as you’re not trying to pet it, you should be ok lol and just be mindful of its whereabouts anytime your hand is in the tank

What do what to know. They are somewhat cryptic and will find favorite spots to perch, even tuck away under corals or rock ledges. They will jump, so a top is needed. Feeding can be challenging, sometimes live food is needed to get established. Small live ghost shrimp preferred but live brine shrimp and live black worms may also be accepted, as well as pods. Offer the live black worms with a hemostat and gently squirt the live brine shrimp in their direction. They don't swim, more like jet themselves from one position to the next, and may stay suspended for only a very short burst. Target feeding is necessary as they will never feed enough from the water column, even though they may find a spot behind the rocks where food swirls and scavenge. They will accept foods like mysis(prefer PE mysis), Hikari mega marine, and various minced up seafood; feed with a pipette, baster, or feeding syringe.

They lay eggs on the underside of SPS corals.
"It is not uncommon for the Coral Croucher Goby to spawn in the home aquarium. Caution should be exercised if your aquarium contains Acropora or similar SPS corals as the Coral Croucher will lay eggs on the underside of coral branches, causing tissue recession in that area of the coral. However, under good conditions, the coral will regenerate the patch of lost tissue."
