Coral dip worm?

Dipped a couple of hammers and this came off, i think its a fire bristle work and bad guy...... should i be doing anything extra other than standard drip? i have been blowing it to blow anything else out but unsure about eggs etc

Looks like a normal bristle worm to me. Harmless detrivores that keep the sand and rocks clean.

ah ok, i thought the red ones were bad, iv had a couple of the white ones so far but not red

Red bristle worms are common. That's what makes it a bit more difficult to differentiate them from fireworms, but a closer look should make the differences obvious.

cool thanks, out of curiosity, if one drops out from a drip but is still alive is it likely to die if i attempted to save? I dont think i have any bristle worms so wouldnt mid a few of the good guys

Probably depends on how long it has been exposed to the dip and the kind of dip that you have used.

It won't have a good time though and just in case we are misclassifying it as harmless, it might make sense to relieve this individual from its suffering. However, I appreciate you trying to care for the little helpers in your tank. Sooner or later you will have dozens of these little fellows, they are basically unstoppable :)
