The order went a bit wrong, I ordered a Kenya tree because they’re meant to be kinda forgiving, instead, what I believe got was a Sinularia? Now, it looked a lot better a few days ago, but it’s just gone down hill, I have asked my LFS (who identified it for me because I know it wasn’t a Kenya tree) and they said that the more flow and light the better, so it’s now a bit more inline with a power head, and higher up in the aquarium… and now it’s drooping and looking incredibly sad.

I only have a fluval EVO, so if it dies it’s gunna totally mess up my tank, but I’m also new enough to the hobby that I don’t know when something has the ability to recover, or whether it’s already dead… or even if this is normal for this kinda coral.

Any advice welcome, water parameters are:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: around 10
I haven’t yet got the other test kits

For further reference, GSP is open, as are all the zoas, and clowns are acting normal

Does look like singulara to me. Be patient. Leathers can be quite grumpy for a bit from a tank change.

Well that’s a relief! I didn’t want one initially but I still want it to do well! He’s been in the tank a week today, but he got moved to this spot 2 days ago, so hopefully he bounces back soon

Sinularia needs good flow to help it shed and help it stand straight, so put it in a area where it gets good amount of flow.

It’s literally just below the line of the wave maker, about 10 inches or so away, is that not close enough?
