completely normal; most corals in the wild are not as "puffed-up" as in captivity. Aquarium corals tend to have more polyp inflation/extensionI agree it has that look, but it does not puff up like the others, which is why I was confused. It’s not particularly “meaty”.
Banana coral is the common name for trachyphyllia, although it is not used in the hobby. This is T. geoffroyi like @thamnasteroid said.I Googled Banana coral and only torches came up. That does not look like my other trachy. Are you sure?
